Dr. John Mannion
Brief Bio of Dr. Mannion, Author of MOTMOT
Dr. Mannion is the author of MOTMOT (Mobilization of Teachers through the Multiplication of Teachings), a six-volume, 2000 page, two-year college level curriculum translated in 10 languages and used in the United States as well as internationally. He is also the author of other publications including: Nuggets of Truth: A Bible Student’s Devotional and a Bible Teacher’s Handbook; There Will Be No Mutiny on the Ship; Living Life in the Fast(ing) Lane; MOTMOT II.
Dr. Mannion’s ministry for more than 30 years has revolved around his various roles as teacher, missionary, and pastor. Previous to his salvation in 1984, Dr. Mannion was an entertainer, having worked for several years in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area and then, for a short time, in Los Angeles, California with the network television improvisational comedy troupe, the L.A. Connection.
His experience in church ministry and missions work includes: Youth Pastor; Associate Pastor; Senior Pastor; Founding Pastor; Missionary to Zaire, Argentina, Guatemala, and Uganda; Co-founder of Leadership Training International; International conference speaker in over 20 countries.
His experience in Education includes: Assistant Professor of Practical Theology and Director of Modular and Distance Education at Oral Roberts University Graduate School of Theology and Missions; Adjunct Professor at Christopher Newport University; Adjunct Professor at Geneva College; Visiting Professor at Regent University; Founder and President of Bible Teachers Institute (now Tidewater Bible College); Founder and Director of Bethel Bible Institute; Founder of C.E.M.I Bible Institute in Guatemala; Adjunct Professor at Delaware County Community College; Instructor of History and Bible at The Christian Academy in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Mannion graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware. He received the Master of Divinity Degree from Regent University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and received “The Outstanding Student in the College of Theology and Ministry” award. He holds the Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary.
Dr. Mannion has been married for over 30 years to his wonderful wife, Audrey, who has faithfully served in the ministry alongside of him. They have six children: Katie, John, Heidi, Luke, Abby, and Carlie…and now two grandchildren as well, John and Asaph.
